One selfie. A yes or a no. DoFantasy does not receive the image, a name, or an email. The selfie is not written to AgeRail storage.
DoFantasy has sold erotic comics since 1996. In May 2026 the payment gateway cut the UK off overnight. Ofcom had told the gateway that age verification was missing. DoFantasy needed a check that did not take the reader’s privacy with it.
The gateway enforced an Ofcom notice and cut the UK geographically, the same day. UK customers could not pay.
The largest provider they looked at was far too expensive, and the integration was tedious.
Another supplier was tested. Its dashboard showed the customers’ private data, including the selfies. Anonymity matters to DoFantasy’s readers. That option was dropped.

Hosted check. No long build. The reader finishes on an AgeRail page. DoFantasy gets the signed result.
The price per check was by far, and significantly, more reasonable than the other solutions they tested.
UK visitors take a short check. AgeRail returns passed, or sends them to a fallback. DoFantasy never sees the face.
The gateway accepted the procedure. UK checkout came back.
